Initiative 2- Improve the Quality of Membership Services
Objectives:
A. Improve communication to membership
B. Monitor member satisfaction
Actions:
a. produce a timely newsletter of quality
b. maintain a website which is up to date and useful
c. respond to membership survey results
Initiative 3- Enhance Continuing Education Opportunities Specific to Member Needs
Objectives:
A. Provide training opportunities relevant to member needs
B. Meet PRPS budget expectations regarding education programs
Actions:
a. continue research/needs assessment efforts with members
b. develop and implement programs
c. explore development of alternative formats for programs
d. contribute to overall PRPS education efforts
Initiative 4- Develop Initiatives Regarding Public Awareness and Public Policy
Objectives:
A. Encourage recognition of Therapeutic Recreation Week
B. Enhance legislative and governmental agency awareness of therapeutic recreation and activities
C. Monitor and respond to relevant legislative and regulatory issues
Actions:
a. develop and implement a plan for celebrating TR week
b. develop a cooperative plan for public policy networking and action with related professional organizations
c. enhance level of involvement with PRPS legislative effort.

A. Review society documents and update as needed
